Institutions

In Poland there are many organizations, institutions and other entities taking actions for Roma communities. There are both government organizations, as well as a number of NGOs.

Governmental

The basic governmental institution dealing with ethnic minorities in Poland, including the Roma community, is the Department of National and Ethnic Minorities, established within the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration.

The Constitution of the Polish Republic states that "national and ethnic minorities have the right to establish their own educational institutions, institutions designed to protect their religious identity and to participate in the resolution of matters concerning their cultural identity."
