The Roma are one of the four recognized ethnic minorities in Poland according to the Polish law. Respect for the rights and freedoms of national and ethnic minorities is a constitutive feature of the Polish State. ISNI a number of laws regulating the rights of ethnic minorities and a number of state programs aimed at the promotion of ethnic minorities including Roma in Poland.

The Polish Constitution is on guard to guarantee entitlement for communities of minority, including the Roma, in Poland.

Policies

The Polish government adopted a programme for the integration of the Roma community for the years 2014 - 2020. The Roma are the only ethnic minority at risk of social exclusion, according to the authors of the programme, prepared in the department of administration and digitalization.
