Projects

In France, several organizations which are very active in supporting Roma communities have developed many relevant projects to promote integration.

Indeed, national non-governmental organizations such as Amnesty International or the CCFD Terre solidaire developped large-scale projects to promote the integration of Roma through various means (education, employment ....). These projects often face difficulties (authorities, difficulties in cultural order ...) but organizations are able to develop these projects through new tools.

At the local level, other organizations realizes interesting integration projects for roma communities.

Here is an example of inclusion project realized by a local NGO in France:

R'Home project: it is an action combining to an accommodation support, a specific comprehensive support for the inclusion of these families. This support takes into account social integration in the location, learning of the French language, the monitoring of children's education, health and socio-professional integration of adults.

In addition, some public structures (communities, municipalities ...) are also developing innovative projects to support the integration of Roma. For some people, these projects and actions have small impact regarding their costs. So they are not implemented by many communities.

Projects to promote integration may be shared on this website e-Roma Resource. You can discover and present your projects in the section "project" in each country part of this website.
