Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
The overall objective of the action is to promote social inclusion of Roma communities in Albania through targeted interventions for vulnerable children, in line with the national policy framework* and the obligations deriving from the EU accession process. The action targets one of the most vulnerable categories of children in Albania, that of Roma Unaccompanied Minors (UAM) who return from Greece. The main target group of the project is Roma UAMs returning in the regions of Gjirokastra (including Saranda and Delvina), Korca and Devoll, who have been or are in risk of exploitation/trafficking within and outside the country.

Results of the project
To assess Roma children vulnerabilities to trans-border labour exploitation and trafficking as to advice future policy and institutional response. To advance the application of a protection system for UAMs in Albania. To increase access to services to Roma UAMs and mobilize communities in the targeted regions. Institutional and civil response, along community mobilisation efforts for prevention of Roma children exploitation/trafficking inside and outside of the country will be strengthened as to ensure adequate protection and access to services in a long term.
