Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
Empowering Roma women living in Miskolc-Vasgyár site and increasing their self esteem and ability to build contacts with groups struggling similar problems, and strenghetening their solidarity as well. Help them to find their common interest and voice and realizing their ideas. Help them to control their own life, and to share their knowledge. Development of lagging areas. Help them to stop marginalization strenghtening the community and reduce vulnerability. Encouraging social actions.
Results of the project
I. Development of ITC competencies: basic IT knowledge, how to use softwares, internet and social media, how to make digital photography and video, how to create blogs.
II. Development of basic competencies: self-knowledge, empathy and tolerance, life planning, healthy living, confidence in the field of social- and educational system, conflict resolution, knowledge of human rights, prevent victimization
III. Employment counselling: help to chose or change career, clarifying the possibilities in the labour market, increasing employability. Psychological counselling: reducing symptoms of unemployment
IV. Preparation of social actions.
Who will benefit from this project (target group)
Roma women and/or mothers (struggling with the lack of socialization, poverty, unemployment, low level of education, addictions, criminality, victimization) who live in reconstituted family or raising them children alone.
