The Roma issue in Slovenia is addressed by the Office for National Minorities of the Republic of Slovenia: http://www.un.gov.si/en/minorities/roma_community/organisation/

As with other minorities and the majority population also individual ministries are dealing with the Roma community:

The Commission of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for the Protection of the Roma Community operates as a working body within the scope of the executive authority. Its members are the state representatives, the representatives of local communities and the members of the Roma Community.

In December 2006, the Expert Group for Resolving Spatial Issues of Roma Settlements (Expert Group) was founded within the scope of the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning, which in very short time (one year) performed a situation analysis in the Roma settlements in Slovenia from various aspects and prepared starting points for a comprehensive consideration and the resolution of specific problems which the Roma settlements are facing.

The Expert Group was reappointed with a somewhat modified list of members in December 2009; one of the priority activities was the arrangement of referential materials, thus becoming more accessible to the interested public. The members of the Expert Group were the representatives of the competent sectors, municipalities and Roma organisations. The Expert Group concluded its work at the end of 2011.
