Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
Our project ‘Way to the heart through flavours’ looked for a common denominator interesting enough for both Roma and non-Roma women; thus we found gastronomy. Roma women are multiply disadvantaged but they are inclined to overcome their state of vulnerability, which aim to reach they need to acquire plenty of experience and knowledge. The project comprises a food tasting event where Roma women cook and serve authentic and low-cost foods from their own recipes. Main activities: Reconstruction of the Mother Club’s kitchen to be fit to host guests; designing the brand; collecting recipes; creating new blog; setting up new Facebook profile; issuing booklet with recipes; events (food tasting, sensitization food tasting events, outdoor festivals, cooking camps, cooking clubs)

Results of the project
Our long term goal is to decrease prejudice among Roma and non-Roma people, and to facilitate the social advancement of Roma
women.

Who will benefit from this project (target group)
The target group is the Roma and non-Roma population of Pécs.
