Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
To increase the employability of Roma minority members in Međimurje County, as one of the most vulnerable and marginalized groups in the region, and to contribute to their social inclusion through the creation of an environment, enabling social employment. To build the capacity of the unemployed Roma from Međimurje County for (self) employment and to build a sustainable model for their employment through the establishment of social cooperatives for biodynamic / organic agriculture.
Results of the project
1. At least 25 members of the Roma population motivated for participating in the project activities through informative workshops.
2. The members of the target group increasing the current level of knowledge through informal education programme for bio-dynamic / organic vegetable growing (8 people), fruit (4 people) and farming / gathering of medicinal plants (6 people).
3. Establishing a social agricultural cooperative and at least 3 family farms that employ at least 6 members of the target group.
Who will benefit from this project (target group)
The members of the Roma national minority in Međimurje - the long-term unemployed and the users of social assistance - at least 50 people from the CES register and the Center for Social Welfare Čakovec.
