Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
To increase the enrollment and the attendance rate of the Roma children from the town of Samokov in kindergarten, preschool and first grade in mainstream schools.
Provide conditions for quality early childhood education for the Roma children in Samokov by enrolling them in mainstream kindergartens.
Provide conditions for educational integration into the Bulgarian society by provision of quality early childhood education.
Increase the level of motivation for attending kindergarten and pre-school groups of the children.
Increase the motivation of the parents to send their children to kindergarten.
Increase the level of family involvement.
Assist children in kindergarten with after class activities to increase their performance.
Build positive interethnic enviroment.
Improve the communication climate between Roma and non-Roma parents.

Results of the project
Increased skills and knowledge of 45 teachers from partner school to work in multicultural environment.
Increased skills and knowledge of 60 parents to participate in school life and effectively communicate with teachers and pedagogy staff.
250 parents involved in the project and school activities.
131 Roma children enrolled in pre-school and 1st grade.
Zero drop out of children in the project.
3 School mediators to accompany the children during the school dat and to mediate between the parents, the community and the school selected and trained.
