Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
The counselling services are provided and carried out by the Adult Education Experts along with (innovative approach) elderly volunteers and priests representing three religions in Slovenia (Catholic, Muslim and Evangelical). The aim of the project is to improve the social situation of the Roma in Slovenia, of the adults with special needs and of elderly people with the emphasis on improving the quality of their lives and on grater social integration. In the three-year project period, the project partners developed three counselling models for vulnerable groups (the Roma, adults with special needs and elderly people). The members of the project team and the team of authors have been trained to provide technical support and for the content preparation of the E-Learning material. Four new E-Learning contents have been developed: general E-Learning content for the Counsellor Training and eLearning materials for three different vulnerable groups: the Roma, adults with special needs and elderly people.
Results of the project
- three new models of counselling, namely, the counselling model for persons with special needs, the counselling model for the Roma and the model advice for older adults were developed,
- new e-learning materials for the training of counsellors for vulnerable target groups,
- the counsellors for vulnerable target groups from the ranks of educators, clergy, senior volunteers and volunteers of the Roma were trained,
- a pilot deployment of the models into practice in Bela Krajina and Dolenjska, in Kočevska and in Prekmurje and Podravje,
