Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
Programme enforces the priorities and the needs of marginalized Roma communities, the municipalities with such communities and organizations active in the field of social inclusion of marginalized Roma communities in the planning process of European Union funds in Slovakia for the years 2014 to 2020. A good institutional setting and the content of Structural Funds are essential for the effective use of opportunities which provide the structural funds for Slovakia in the next programming period.
Goal:
- Raising the planning process (programming) of EU structural funds in Slovakia in order to ensure that the financial assistance, which the EU will provide Slovakia in the next seven years, will be used effectively and for the benefit of improving the life and social inclusion of the Roma in Slovakia.

Results of the project
In year 2013, the experts from the Roma Institute and partner organizations continued to provide support for the preparation of ÚSVRK and to comment upon the working draft of the Operational Programme Human Resources. The Slovak Government and the European Commission adopted a proposal for the experts involved in the project on the use of EU funds in the period 2014-2020 for the development of marginalized Roma communities and the social inclusion of their members.

This year, the Experts Roma Institute, N. O. and partner organizations focused on the further elaboration of the concepts of microfinance and socially responsible public procurement in Slovakia and to promote it in the programming documents of EU funds in the 2014- 2020 strategy.

It also contributed to the development of indicators for the Operational Programme Human Resources, related to the social inclusion of the Roma.
