Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
The aim of the project is to develop and test a special "board game" with romany and non-romany teenagers. In the course of the game the yongsters are given certain project-tasks that aim to develop their cooperation, enlarge their comfort-zome, require common problem-solving, thinking together and continuous communication. The project tasks are worked out by Romany youngsters and they will help to develop certain skills of the participants, show the cultural and personal values and backgroud of the target groups. Another important element will be to promote the importance of social resposibility and the idea of volunteer activities and charity among the participants.
The processes will be recorded on film by the students of the Európa 2000 secondary school. The methods, the know-how and the structure of the game can be adapted and used by other organizations freely in the future. At the end of the programme the participants will summarize their experiences in a closing event, where teachers from other secondary schools, decision-makers from the local community and representatives of the media will be invited.
