Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
Improve the expertiese of the National council. The project aimed at enhancing the policy making and implementation capacity of the NCEDI at central and local level. The grant pursued the expansion of policy development, planning, monitoring and implementation capacity of regional and municipal offices and experts in relation to the integration of ethnic minorities. The grant also facilitates better function interaction between a range of stakeholders - ethnic minority communities, institutions at central and local level, NGOs and media.

Results of the project
26 out of the 28 regional administrations hired regional experts on ethnic and demographic issues. The number of the regional experts on ethnic and demographic issues raised from 18 to 32. 21 regional councils on ethnic and demographic issues were established and 12 of them developed and adopted detailed regional programs on the integration of minorities. More than 50% of he municipalities also appointed municipal experts on ethnic and demographic issues.
