Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
The main objective of the project is to improve the system of exercising the rights of national minorities in South-Eastern Europe.
The specific objective of the project is to improve the effectiveness of the participation of 1,000 members of the Roma minority in the cultural, social and economic life in Međimurje County, Croatia.
Results of the project
1) 500 Roma have better access to local social services and support for the development / implementation of their projects and ideas for self-employment
2) 15 Roma associations are more active, they develop their programmes better and a total of at least 15 projects at the EU or national level
3) 30 Roma entrepreneurs manage their companies, crafts or OPG's better.
4) 100 young Roma gain the knowledge of active and effective participation in cultural, social and economic life in Medjimurje
Who will benefit from this project (target group)
The main beneficiary is the Roma national minority: young Roma, unemployed Roma, Roma with their own companies, craft, OPG, Roma who have ideas about projects or start-ups.
The local community will also benefit from the project in the sense that they will be better informed and more open-minded towards the Roma community.

The project is funded from the Međimurje County budget, and with the donations from UNDP and OSCE
