Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
Poor living conditions of the Roma in the town of Kyustendil. Improvement of the living conditions of the most disadvantaged 31 Roma families in Iztok neighborhood, Kyustendil. To negotiate ownership of land lots for the construction of the houses. To provide of water and electricity to the construction lot. To provide of access to information in better living conditions.

Results of the project
31 houses constructed. Built socio-medical centre. Provided accommodation to 31 disadvantaged Roma families. Provided access to water and electricity to the newly build houses. Increased awareness of accommodated Roma towards ecology, environment and security surroundings. Improved habits of life - hygyene, education towards attitude, healthcare, etc. Improved educational achievemtents (of children and adults).
Decreased level of health diseases among the accomodated adults and children. Established commission with representatives of the community to discuss and decide on the criteria for accommodation. Created temporary employement for Roma people from the neighborhood.
