Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
The main objective of the project is to achieve the inclusion of a health education assistant position in the environment of Roma communities in the catalogue of activities and a systematized programme of health education in Roma communities throughout Slovakia. Further highlighting the possibility of using human resources directly from the segregated settlements and the fact that through the implementation of this position, it is possible to employ the residents of Roma settlements and implement the activities beneficial to the community at the same time. The position of a health education assistant may also be included in the community center standards that are planned as a national project, implemented for socially excluded communities.

Results of the project
The project activities for promoting and strengthening the position of a health education assistant as a normal working position and to obtain other partners from the environment of non-governmental organizations and responsible bodies, who will actively support and enforce this objective.

Who will benefit from this project (target group)
Data collection takes place in three settlement areas with 10 assistants and it aims at a detailed overview of the activities and the quantification of medical assistants.
