Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
The project aims to promote social inclusion of long-term unemployed social assistance beneficiaries by supporting their entry into the labor market and increasing their competitiveness and preparation for their entry into the labor market through education and acquiring new knowledge and skills for work as a chefs assistant.
Project activities provide for the creation of curricula for education for assistant chefs who will be tailored to the specific needs of the Roma minority in Medjimurje, user involvement and implementation of education for extra cooks as well as professional support and motivate users throughout the project. In addition, there will also be activities to motivate employers and the public presentation of acquired knowledge and skills.
Results of the project
Results of the project are:
- 4 seminars were held for strengthening the capacity of teachers, teachers and those engaged in informal education
- Promotional flyer printed
- Motivational workshops for future participants in education were conducted
- Teaching materials to utility chefs by Barbara Martinez was issued
- 18 candidates successfully completed the training course for utility cooks
Who will benefit from this project (target group)
The project beneficiaries will be trained in a program that will be designed to suit their needs and the specific situation and will be adapted to the local gastronomy and traditional cuisine.
The importance of this project is its benefit for, ie Roma people through participation in project activities where they will be able to acquire additional knowledge and skills, undergo a program of psychological empowerment, retraining or additional training, to strengthen the motivation to participate in community activities, improve the position of the approach labor market and employment, improve the position in the company and get out of the welfare system.

Total worth of the project is 148.184,57 euro, 77% is from EU funds
