Summary (goals and purposes of the project)
Projects purpose is the empowerment and activation of roma minority, to enable easier entering into a labor market. One of the goals is to develop the network of NGOs and other institutions (roma and others) in order to improve terms of roma employment, to open a public discusion on this pressing matter and propose suggestions to improve the current status.
Our central objective is to establish inclusive studio of eco-etnic roma fashion, as a reference facility with a possibility of employment for Roma people and other vulnerable groups. It also serves as a place of intercultural exchange and development and it evolves into a social business. Our goal is to also diminish the divide between roma and non-roma people by introducing roma culture to members of other communities in southeastern Slovenia. We are going to create a new source of value within the project by creating a contemporary eco-etnic roma fashion collection. We are going to achieve this by organising series of workshops for active roma people in the studio and in the roma settlements.
We intend to develop an efficient method for empowerment of vulnerable population, particularly roma women, but also roma men, youth and children - on the basis of their needs and rights, with the objective of easing them into the public labor and employment sphere.

Results of the project
Within the project together with activated members of the Roma community in Roma settlements and in newly established studio a series of workshops a new source of value was created: eco-ethno Roma fashion collection for today. The professional team ensures excellence in peer and public communication for the deconstruction of the matrix of prejudices and stereotypes concerning Roma and members of other communities. The project has developed an effective approach for empowerment of vulnerable groups, particularly Roma women, as well as Roma men, youth and children - based on their needs and their rights, to facilitate the entry into the public sphere of work and employment. The project has prepared a plan to communicate with the public, which is supported by the Trustees of the project and clamped in the international space.

In the project established inclusive studio eco-ethno Roma mode acts as a reference area networking conscious entities and is a place of intercultural exchange and development. It opens up the possibility of empowerment, activation and employment of Roma and other vulnerable groups as well as progress in social enterprise.

The project team combines modern processes, technologies and materials with more traditional, introduces ecological approach, ensures efficient ways of organizing and communicating in the creation of new values, developing operating methods of empowerment t. im. vulnerable groups, primarily Roma women, youth, children.

Amulet is the projects new brand, which is through the respective process of creating modern fashion, dedicated to beauty, joy, health, love, success.

Who will benefit from this project (target group)
The Roma minority in southeastern Slovenia live largely separate from the rest of society, like in the ghetto and it is faced with extremely low levels of primary school completion and employment (around 5%).

Discrimination, prejudice and stereotypes are serious obstacles for members of the Roma community that are closing their way to happiness, knowledge, work and success. Strategies and programs of state and local authorities for greater integration of the Roma is a nice read, but the project wants to keep up with concrete actions and eco-ethnic Roma fashion is action-oriented.

Sources of funding
The project is financially supported by the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
